My Favorite/Best Disney Channel Moments (Part 1)

I know that Disney Channel has a bunch of immature moments, but these are my favorite Disney Channel moments. This will list some scenes I think were intense, emotional, acted well, or directed well. I'm not going to rank these scenes, but I will say that watching these scenes is more effective than me just describing them. I sadly can't show these scenes due to copyright laws, but I hope you are somehow able to see these scenes at one point in your life. Warning: major spoilers.

The first scene I'm going to talk about is from the 2009 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie), "Princess Protection Program". While the movie itself can be very stupid and illogical, I grew up with this movie and it is one of my favorite DCOMs. It's about how Princess Rosalinda (played by Demi Lovato) from the fictional country Costa Luna has to evacuate from her country when it comes under attack. Trying to blend in like a normal teenager in Lousiana, she and tom-boyish Carter Mason (played by Selena Gomez), embark on a journey of friendship.
This is during the end of the film, when Rosie Gonzalez (Princess Rosalinda), wins homecoming queen and gives a speech about what she has learned during her time in Lousiana and Carter is sacrificing herself for her friend's safety.
" 'Thank you. Since I've been here, I've learned many wonderful things. Most importantly, I've learned about friendship and loyalty and trust. That those are not things that are just given, but things we must earn. So I want to thank Carter Mason for teaching me these things and for being my friend. Carter? Where are you?' "
Seeing Carter being kidnapped away and sacrificing herself after learning what true friendship means in order to keep her friend safe, is just heartbreaking. Rosie thanking Carter is important because this was supposed to be Rosie's last night with Carter before she surrendered herself to the General who took possession of Costa Luna in order to be reunited with her mother.
The camera angles, lighting, and coloring were perfect. The music also helped to set an intense but emotional ambiance surrounding this scene.

The second scene I'm going to be talking about is from the 2010 DCOM, "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam". This film is a standard Disney Channel musical (but in my opinion the Camp Rock series is better than the High School Musical franchise; fight me) but has its good moments. Its a fun movie with pretty good music. The DCOM is about how 'Camp Rock' is going up against the new camp, 'Camp Star' which is located across the lake. There is a clear establishment that 'Camp Star' is more about image while 'Camp Rock' is more about fun and authenticity.
Nearing the end of the movie, after both camps have given their musical performances, the results are announced. What I love about this scene is that there are no words, just the expressions on the faces of the 'Camp Rockers'. The tears filling their eyes as they watch everything they've worked so hard for crumbling down, especially, Mitchie Torrez (played by Demi Lovato), the main protagonist of both movies.
The decision of just using facial expressions and body language is really what helped convey empathy for the characters. This scene is a tear-jerker.

Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan in Liv and Maddie (2013)

The third scene I'm going to talk about is from the Disney Channel show "Liv & Maddie" (2013-2017). It's from the "Flugelball-a-Rooney" (Season 2, Episode 18) episode. The show is about how girly-girl, Hollywood starlet Liv (Olivia) Rooney (played by Dove Cameron) moves back home to Stevens Point, Wisconsin to spend her high school years with her family and most importantly her tom-boyish twin sister, Maddie (also played by Dove Cameron).
Maddie is happy that her long-distant boyfriend, Diggie (played by Ryan McCartan), is back in Wisconsin after being a foreign exchange student, but is emotionally devastated when he tells her that he signed up to go to Australia to again, become a foreign exchange student.
This is how she chooses to tell him about her feelings towards his decision.
" 'Hi, thanks for coming over.' 'What's up?' 'Um....I'm really happy that you're so excited about going to Australia. 'Yeah, I am too. I can't wait to like,' 'But, I really really really really really don't want you to go.' 'What? Why?' 'Because, being in a long-distance relationship was really hard on us.' 'I know. It was hard for me too.' 'I mean, we're not going to be in high school forever and then who knows what's going to happen after that.' 'Exactly, Maddie that's why I have to jump on this opportunity right now!' 'What about me!? What about us?' 'Ugh, why are you being like this?' 'Because you left me for 8 months! And I waited for the day that you were going to come back and now you're just telling me that you're taking off again!' 'Okay, I thought you'd be a bit more supportive!' 'I have been so supportive! More than you!' 'This isn't really making me want to stay Maddie!' 'Then go!' 'I will!' 'And I can't promise that I'm just going to be waiting for you when you get back this time!' 'Fine!' 'Maddie, maybe we should break up.' 'Wow. Okay.' 'Okay. See you around Rooney.' "
This scene was very well acted and the exchanges between the two characters were genuine and believable. Both characters express their frustration in such an intense manner it makes the viewers want to hide.

Bridgit Mendler and Shane Harper in Good Luck Charlie (2010)

The fourth scene I'm going to be talking about is from the Disney Channel show "Good Luck Charlie" (2010-2014). It's from the "All Fall Down (Part 2)" (Season 3, Episode 23) episode. The show's premise is Teddy Duncan (played by Bridgit Mendler) making video diaries for her younger sister, Charlie (played by Mia Talerico), to help her survive their crazy family.
After secretly flying to spend time with her long-distance boyfriend and not getting much time to spend with him and realizing that she might not ever get to spend time with him, Spencer (played by Shane Harper) and Teddy become unsure about how to handle the feelings they have for one another.
" 'So we have 1 hour together in 5 months?' 'Well, I....I. We could find a couple weekends to visit each other.' 'No Spence, I can't. My parents don't even know that I took this trip! I can't lie to them again.' 'Well, what are we going to do?' 'I don't know? I didn't know that it was going to be this hard.' 'Yeah, me neither.' 'I just can't spend all my time missing you. I'm going to drive myself crazy.' 'Yeah, I feel the same way...What do we do?' 'Well, I mean there's nothing we can do except...I don't want to say it.' 'Yeah, I don't want to say it either.' 'I love you.' 'Oh, I love you too. I'm going to miss you so much.' 'Why are you so sad?' 'Oh, um, well because we're saying goodbye Charlie and it's a very hard thing to do.' 'Then say hello.' 'Yeah, yeah, maybe that's easier.' 'Hello Teddy.' 'Hello Spencer.' "
This breakup may not be as dramatic and intense as Maddie and Diggie's, but still is very emotionally impacting. I also love Charlie's logic, it really gives the scene even more depth. (Edit: This clip is now linked down below).

Rowan Blanchard delivers a raw, emotional performance in "Girl Meets Rileytown."

The fifth and the final scene I'm going to be talking about is from the Disney Channel show "Girl Meets World" (2014-2017). This is from the "Girl Meets Rileytown" (Season 2, Episode 17) episode. The show is a spinoff of the beloved "Boy Meets World". The show follows Cory Mathews' (played by Ben Savage) daughter, Riley Mathews (Rowan Blanchard) and her friends.
In this episode, it is introduced that Riley, the loveable yet annoying character is being bullied and it shows how this takes a turn on Riley's mentality and optimism. Riley takes her rage out on her friends. The show had also previously established that Riley is very insecure. Some viewers think that the show's creators were trying to lead Riley onto a storyline of having depression or anxiety because of Riley's behavioral changes from mid-season of season 2 until the end of the show.
This is what happens when Riley's best friend, Maya (played by Sabrina Carpenter), finds out that Riley is being bullied and confronts her. " 'We have something to talk about you and me.' 'I don't like it when we fight.' 'I'm going to be your friend for the rest of your life. We're going to have some conflicts along the way.' 'What do we do?' 'We will work them out. We'll always work them out because we're friends and if things get rough maybe we'll throw some ice-cream at each other, but we'll still be friends. Because that's what reasonable people do.' 'So we have no conflict anymore?' 'No. Now we have a new one. Why wouldn't you come to me!? How could you not come to me if someone is bullying you!?' 'I'm humiliated, Maya. I didn't want to let you see me humiliated.' 'You thought I would just go away?' 'Mhm. It's getting worse.' 'You know what the difference is between a conflict with a bully and a conflict with a friend?' 'What?.... You're the worst bully ever peaches.' 'I know. Peaches the bully just doesn't strike fear to the hearts of anybody.' 'I called you a bully and I ice-creamed you. I'm really sorry.' 'It's okay.' 'Will you get back at me for the ice-cream?' 'Oh yeah, and you're never going to see it coming.' 'Couldn't you tell me just before you were going to do it.' 'No, honey. That would hurt my enjoyment.' 'I'm sorry I took everything out on you.' 'It's okay. You had to take it out on somebody. I'm glad you felt safe enough to take it out on me. And I'm sorry I didn't hear what you were trying to say earlier.' 'Well, I will never go at you again.' 'No, it's okay. I can take it. Let it all out.' 'I'm better now.' 'Oh yeah, I'm sure you are. That's good. Rileytown.' 'Stop saying that! People shouldn't make fun of other people! What did I ever do to you!?.... You exist. You exist and you're weird and you get in the way of where I'm looking. So stop being weird and stop being happy! Nobody should be as happy as you. Stop being who you are or I'm going to put my foot in your weird, stupid face.' 'Okay.' 'I'm fine.' 'I'm not. How long?' 'A few weeks. This has been going on a few weeks.' 'Riles, I got you.' 'And I tried dealing with her Maya she's not a reasonable person. How do I handle this!? I don't know how to handle this!?' 'You're not alone.' "
I have no words to describe how emotional this is. Riley, the fun and goofy and good intended character being emotionally and being threatened to be physically abused. This is so real and one of the best scenes in anything that Disney Channel as a network has ever aired. I really can't describe the abundance of honesty that has been into this one scene.
So, before this gets too long I'm going to stop. I might make other parts to this, who knows? Have you seen these scenes? What are your best Disney Channel moments? What are your thoughts?

Why High School Musical & Descendants Are the Same

vs          To clear up any misunderstandings, I understand that both franchises were directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega so they will have some similarities in their layouts.         "High School Musical" is a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) that was released in 2006. The movie conveys the message of breaking free of quotas and being your true self, no matter what labels people put on you, through various different musical numbers. The movie follows star basketball player Troy Bolton and overly 'smart' Gabriella Montez, and how music unites the two unexpected couple together.         "Descendants" is a DCOM that was released in 2015, almost ten years after the release of the original High School Musical. The movie teaches the audience that you must make your own choices in life, and you do not have to live the same lives as your parents, even if that is what is expected of you. The musical follo...

Ranking Demi Lovato's Albums!

Hi! This week I'm going to share my opinion on one of my favorite musical artists: Demi Lovato. This is all based on my own opinion, so you don't have to agree. Currently, she has six studio albums. This list will only include her personal albums (except for "Moves Me" [2004] & "Demo" [?]). This will not include soundtracks or compilation albums from her other projects. 5.  ("Tell Me You Love Me" Album Cover)         In fifth place is her latest album, "Tell Me You Love Me [Clean] (Deluxe) + (Target Exclusive)" which was released in 2017.          I personally don't like this album. It's a good album, but I'm not the target demographic for this album, so maybe that's why I don't like it.          Many of the songs have a more adult theme, so parental consent is recommended.          The album is different from Lovato's previ...

My Favorite/Best Disney Channel Moments (Part 3)

Basically, this is the same concept as the first and second parts but includes different clips. Please if you haven't, go and read the other parts too. Of course, there are going to be major spoilers and all rights obviously go to their respective owner.         The first scene I'm going to be talking about is from the 2011 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie), "Lemonade Mouth", which is based on Mark Peter Hughes' 2007 novel of the same name. "Lemonade Mouth" is how five high schoolers meet in detention and end up forming a band called 'Lemonade Mouth' and also help cope and mend with their lives using music and friendship. This is one of my favorite DCOMs and it actually has really good music.         When Lemonade Mouth is preparing for the 'Rising Star' competition, their worlds' seem to fall apart. Wen (played by Adam Hicks) injures his eye when his father (played by Bob Jesser) asks him to be his best man. The other remaini...
