First Impressions: Tru Confessions

Image result for tru confessions

The 2002 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) "Tru Confessions", based off of the 1997 novel of the same name by Janet Tashjian is one of the best DCOMs I have ever seen.
Personally, I have never read the novel so I will not be referencing it. This solely based off of my opinion of the film.
Tru Confessions portrays the struggles of a family with a member who has developmental struggles. The main character, Tru or Trudy Walker (Portrayed by Clara Bryant), the twin sister of Eddie Walker (Portrayed by Shia LaBeouf) tries to make her brother feel more comfortable and accepted in the world, while also trying to win a contest where she must create and host her own tv show.
This movie displayed such honesty that isn't shown in many recent DCOMs. It showed the truth of many families in a very beautiful and understandable way.
After watching it the first time, I grew to have much respect for the film, but upon watching it a second time, my respect only grew further. I very strongly recommend watching this film.
What are your thoughts? EOnline rated it as one of Disney's worst DCOMs. Is "Tru Confessions" one of the best or worst DCOMs?

Why High School Musical & Descendants Are the Same

vs          To clear up any misunderstandings, I understand that both franchises were directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega so they will have some similarities in their layouts.         "High School Musical" is a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) that was released in 2006. The movie conveys the message of breaking free of quotas and being your true self, no matter what labels people put on you, through various different musical numbers. The movie follows star basketball player Troy Bolton and overly 'smart' Gabriella Montez, and how music unites the two unexpected couple together.         "Descendants" is a DCOM that was released in 2015, almost ten years after the release of the original High School Musical. The movie teaches the audience that you must make your own choices in life, and you do not have to live the same lives as your parents, even if that is what is expected of you. The musical follo...

Ranking Demi Lovato's Albums!

Hi! This week I'm going to share my opinion on one of my favorite musical artists: Demi Lovato. This is all based on my own opinion, so you don't have to agree. Currently, she has six studio albums. This list will only include her personal albums (except for "Moves Me" [2004] & "Demo" [?]). This will not include soundtracks or compilation albums from her other projects. 5.  ("Tell Me You Love Me" Album Cover)         In fifth place is her latest album, "Tell Me You Love Me [Clean] (Deluxe) + (Target Exclusive)" which was released in 2017.          I personally don't like this album. It's a good album, but I'm not the target demographic for this album, so maybe that's why I don't like it.          Many of the songs have a more adult theme, so parental consent is recommended.          The album is different from Lovato's previ...

My Favorite/Best Disney Channel Moments (Part 3)

Basically, this is the same concept as the first and second parts but includes different clips. Please if you haven't, go and read the other parts too. Of course, there are going to be major spoilers and all rights obviously go to their respective owner.         The first scene I'm going to be talking about is from the 2011 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie), "Lemonade Mouth", which is based on Mark Peter Hughes' 2007 novel of the same name. "Lemonade Mouth" is how five high schoolers meet in detention and end up forming a band called 'Lemonade Mouth' and also help cope and mend with their lives using music and friendship. This is one of my favorite DCOMs and it actually has really good music.         When Lemonade Mouth is preparing for the 'Rising Star' competition, their worlds' seem to fall apart. Wen (played by Adam Hicks) injures his eye when his father (played by Bob Jesser) asks him to be his best man. The other remaini...
