Did "ZOMBIES" Copy "Halloweentown High"?

       Okay. This is going to be my last Halloweentown related post for a while. I promise (not really). So, while I was watching the 2018 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) "ZOMBIES", I noticed a very similar plot from the 2004 "Halloweentown High".
       Both films deal with segregation in society with the idea of monsters/mythical creatures.
       "ZOMBIES" is a film where zombies, whose ancestors were once human, are finally allowed to attend human schools because of the creation of the "z-band" which is a metal band that straps around the wrist and diminishes the urge for eating brains, but the zombies are still treated differently by the humans. They are not given the same treatment.
       "Halloweentown High" is a film where the portal through Halloweentown and Earth has been opened for use throughout the year, instead of just on Halloween. The main character, Marnie Piper believes that it is important for the mythical creatures to experience the human world as well as the monster world, so she smuggles a group of mythical creatures from Halloweentown to her human high school, and acts as if they are foreign exchange students, but they don't seem to fit in with the rest of the school populous.
       The concept of both plots are very similar, but they are portrayed differently. Many people also compare "ZOMBIES" and "Descendants", but that's for another post.
       "ZOMBIES" is a story of students changing themselves, trying to prove their self-worth in order to bring social change.
       "Halloweentown High" is a story of students changing themselves, filling themselves into a mold in order to survive.
       Both movies are a decent watch, and I enjoyed most of my experience while watching the two movies. What are your thoughts?

    I've never seen either movie, and I can't promise that I ever will. However, I love that you are making connections and analyzing movies at a deeper level.

The Importance of Theme Songs

Theme songs are important, but today I'm going to highlight why. Theme songs set viewers up for the upcoming episode and create anticipation. They also allow viewers to sing along with the cheesy lyrics and dance to the infectious music, creating happy memories. Is "Under Wraps" Really that Bad?

        Is the 1997 DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) "Under Wraps" really one of the worst DCOMs? According to EOnline, it's the ninth worst DCOM to have ever been made.           The movie is aimed at a slightly older audience, like me, but it never goes out of its way to show that. It has believable characters, like Amy, the sarcastic one of the trio of friends who, inevitably find and awake a mummy, whom they call Harold.
