My Personal Favorite DCOM! (Part 3)

"The Swap" is a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) which was released in 2016, isn't the best DCOM to have ever been made, but it is definitely one of my personal favorite DCOMs.         "The Swap" is based on Meghan Shull's 2014 novel of the same name. I have read the book and it's a pretty easy read. I can say that there are some differences in the film adaptation, but I preferred the movie over the book. I think this is just a personal opinion because I watched the film before reading the book, but I will explain why I like the movie more than the book.         "The Swap" is about how two teenagers (Ellie and Jack Malloy) switch bodies through a text message and embark on a journey of bettering each other's lives. Even though this is a Halloween DCOM and a part of Disney Channel's "Monstober", it delivered more than the beloved standard musical DCOMs. Even though Disney Channe...

My Personal Favorite DCOM! (Part 2)

"Lemonade Mouth" is a DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) which was released in 2011, isn't the best DCOM to have ever been made, but it is definitely one of my personal favorite DCOMs.          "Lemonade Mouth" is based on Mark Peter Hughes' 2007 novel of the same name. I will try not to reference the book because I don't have a full exposure and understanding of the plot that takes place in the book.         "Lemonade Mouth" is a film about how five high schoolers create a successful band while they use music and friendship to escape their own realities.          One thing that I adore about this film is that it handles five main characters and does an adequate job of giving each character enough screen time, while other DCOMs fail to handle one ...

My Personal Favorite DCOM! (Part 1)

"Princess Protection Program" is a DCOM which was released in 2009, isn't the best DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) to have ever been made, but it is definitely one of my personal favorite DCOMs.         The premise of the movie is that  Princess Rosalinda Maria Montoya Fioré , soon to be queen (portrayed by Demi Lovato) of the fictional country Costa Luna has to escape her country as its being invaded, but has to leave behind her mother. Under the 'Princess Protection Program' she will be protected as long as she stays in hiding in Lousiana with Major Joe Mason (portrayed by Tom Verica) and his daughter Carter Mason (portrayed by Selena Gomez). Rosalinda is told to disguise herself as Rosie Gonzalez, a normal teen girl.          Tomboyish Carter, similar to Selena's other role as Alex Russo from the Disney Channel show "Wizards of Waverly Place", a...
